As an artist I tend to like to do themes that can be related to society and the way things are perceived. I have done many works that are related to what are perceived as social norms and also dealt with some very touchy subjects like suicide. I tend to have broad themes to the works since it makes it easier to do other themes and not be an artist that only does one kind of art or major in one theme. Though it probably would show people the artists’ endurance and devotion towards that one theme. For me I find since I’m very early in my creation of art that I would like to try different things until I find my favorite median and theme. I’ve done many traditional art styles like painting with watercolour, painting with acrylics, painting with oil paint, pencil crayon drawings, charcoal drawings, oil pastels, sculptures, photography, and mix median words. The broad styles give me more ideas and more ways to implement the idea.

I created “Image³” as a commentary about beauty. I feel as beauty is overrated since all that is classified as beautiful is based on ones appearance. The first impressions tend to be ones appearance. People would judge the look of the person which is very unfair since people maybe beautiful on the outside and rotten in the inside. With technology and medical cosmetic surgeries avaliable to anyone that has the money, the beauty that is seen would be manufactured as the cubes are manufactured. The point of the piece is to show how beautiful people can turn ugly with mixing and matching because they want to enhance a feature or change something that they were born with. The cubes are unstable like the way the people’s concept of beauty is unstable.
